I recently made a trip to Turkey and found a feast for the eyes.  Here are a few photos I took.

Perhaps you will find some of them inspirational.

In the row to the right are  photographs of a

Kervan Sary  (Caravan Palace) on the side of the road between Kayseri to Ankara .   The function of a Kervan Sary was to provide a secure place to stay, worship,  bath,  trade. They were instituted in the Seljuk period  along the Silk Road to help facilitate trade.

These are photographs of Kapadoccia (also known as Cappadocia)

An amazing find along the highway from Antalya to Izmer. It is a Lycian burial chamber.

The pink area on the photo to the right of the door has two tablets of text carved into the stone. To the right is a close up. Originally I thought it was Byzantine, but now know better.

I don't know what this is.

It looks Neolithic. It was in a small town on the Turquoise Coast
